The Brighter app
Brighter does not collect, transmit, sell or share personal data. It has no accounts, advertising, analytics SDKs or tracking. It reads display capabilities and applies your chosen HDR boost locally on your Mac. It does not capture or record your screen or read the contents of other apps.
Your boost setting is kept in memory during the running session. Brighter starts with boost off each time you launch it. The app does not require Accessibility or Screen Recording permission.
App Store and system services
Apple independently handles App Store downloads, purchases, app reviews and any system diagnostics according to your Apple settings and Apple’s privacy policy. These are separate from data collection by Brighter.
